HOW DOES THE BAR WORK?
Options for purchase of alcohol are by a bar tab arrangement and minimum spends apply. Alternatively, your guests may purchase their own alcohol. We do not offer per head packages on alcohol. We do not offer BYO.
DO YOU HAVE PACKAGES?
As each event at The Third Day is unique, we do not have set function packages. Please refer to our pricing schedule document for details on venue hire costs and minimum bar spend requirements.
WHAT FOOD DO YOU OFFER?
We have a selection of food options depending on your function budget. These include:
- Food truck hire
- On-site gourmet catering by Fred & Ginger (www.fredandginger.com.au)
- Cake catering by Killer’s Kitchen (www.killerskitchen.com.au)
CAN I BRING MY OWN FOOD?
You are welcome to bring foods that do not require heating. Please note that there is no on-site kitchen, therefore on-site cooking is only permissible if done by a qualified caterer (please see our venue hire terms and conditions for further details).
There is limited refrigeration available on site for foods that require chilling before service – please discuss your requirements with your booking manager.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO HIRE THE THIRD DAY?

ARE YOU PET FRIENDLY?
Yes we are! We just require owners to clean up after their pets.
DO YOU HAVE DISABLED ACCESS?
Yes we do, including one disabled access toilet.
WHAT'S THE PARKING SITUATION?
There is no on-site parking available at The Third Day, however free on-street parking is available. The Third Day is located 50m from Macaulay Station (on the Upfield train line) and is serviced by a bus route (route 402 East Melbourne).
ARE YOU CHILD FRIENDLY?
Yes we are, however conditions apply for underage guests at 18th and 21st birthday parties – please speak to your booking manager for further advice.
HOW BIG SHOULD MY TAB BE?
This can vary depending on a number of factors, however generally we recommend a $20-$50 per head spend, depending on the choice of beverages available on your tab.
HOW MANY STAFF WILL I NEED?
We recommend the following staff allocations:
- 1 bar staff member for every 50 people
- 1 bussie for every 100 people
- A minimum of one security guard (the venue manager can advise if an additional security guard will be required based on the type of function)
